Online GIS

ArcGIS Online Services are deeply integrated with ArcGIS and give you immediate access to cartographically designed, seamless basemaps to which you can easily add your own data.

ArcGIS users can subscribe to standard and premium services and instantly access ready-to-use 2D maps, 3D globes, and reference layers via the Web.

Annual subscriptions for ArcGIS Online Services are available for collections and bundles. A collection is a group of 2D and 3D services. A bundle includes one or more collections and additional 2D and 3D services, for example reference layers.

ArcGIS Online Standard Services are available at no cost to ArcGIS users for internal use (personal or within an organization) or for external, non-commercial use. To use these services externally for commercial purposes, you must purchase an annual subscription per user. Subscription fees vary depending on whether you are an ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, or ArcGIS Mobile user.

You can connect to ArcGIS Online Standard Services with ArcGIS 9.2 or ArcGIS 9.3.

• World Street Map Collection
  Multi-scale, worldwide street map, with highway-level data for the world and street-level data for the United States, Canada, Japan, and several countries in Europe and other parts of the world.

• World Physical Map Collection
  Natural Earth physical map at global and continental scales. Also includes topographic maps for the United States at larger scales.

• World Imagery Collection (available with the USA/World Bundle)
  Satellite imagery for the world and high-resolution aerial imagery for the United States.

• USA/World Bundle
  Satellite imagery for the world and aerial imagery for the United States, worldwide street map, physical world map, shaded relief map, and political map of the world.

ArcGIS Online Premium Services are available for internal and external use by purchasing an annual subscription. Subscription fees vary depending on whether you are an ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, or ArcGIS Mobile user.

You must use ArcGIS 9.3 to be able to connect to ArcGIS Online Premium Services.

Available Premium Services

• USA Prime Imagery Collection
  500-meter resolution imagery at small scales and 15-meter imagery at medium-to-large scales for the world; and 1-meter or better resolution color imagery for the contiguous United States. This collection also includes transportation, boundaries, and elevation reference layers.

• Virtual Earth Maps Collection
  Street maps, orthographic aerial and satellite imagery, and hybrid maps for the world.

• USA Prime/World Bundle
  Includes the USA Prime Imagery collection, plus the standard World Street Map and World Physical Map collections, and shaded relief and political map of the world.
