Description
This map was created for Urban Forestry within the City of Toronto's Parks, Forestry and Recreation division, to help in the preliminary identification of potential tree planting sites.  The criteria for candidate area were: sites must be public open space that excludes hydro corridors and rail lines, sites should be at least 500 m2 and at least 10m wide, sites should be along major transportation corridors, parks, and ravines, and have a slope less than 25%.  Forestry staff were able to use the map as a tool in site selection and to define areas where further investigation was required.
