Description
As part of Alberta Environment's goal to reduce waste going to landfill to 500 kg per capita by 2010 and a target of no new landfills after the year 2015, a series of Waste Facilities Planning maps were generated in order to understand the nature of the existing infrastructure.   These maps show estimates of volumes and characteristics of Priority Waste materials generated within the Province of Alberta, and the geographical location of main generators.
