Description
This is one of a dozen maps produced to date in a collaborative effort amongst Saanich Engineering, Planning, and Police, the Greater Victoria School District, the local elementary school administrators, and the school Parent Advisory Committee for the Safe School Travel Plan under the Safer City Program.  It promotes the best walking routes to school within a reasonable catchment area and helps to identify and recommend where traffic related safety improvements should be implemented, either on public road allowances or on the school site.  This also helps to promote the three Es in traffic safety, Engineering, Education, and Enforcement, and includes a number of helpful safety tips.
