Description
Building GIS capacity and supporting the development of GIS skills within the four communities of the Gwich'in Settlement Region were the main goals of the Gwich'in Community-Based Atlas Project. Through the production of a hardcopy atlas, an interactive GIS training CD-ROM, and an accompanying training guide, the Gwich'in Integrated GIS Project promoted the use of GIS in the communities in a user-friendly way. These maps are samples of those distributed in the 35-page Atlas.
