Toronto, ON - ESRI Canada, a Canadian-owned company specializing in GIS solutions and services, is bolstering its support for local governments in their use of GIS for public works. ESRI Canada recognizes the importance of geography in public works and has responded through the delivery of spatial solutions and the development a public works community. To lead our efforts, ESRI Canada is pleased to announce that Karen Stewart has joined ESRI Canada as the new Public Works Industry Manager. Karen will work with the user community by providing existing and new public works clients with unique insight into how they can leverage GIS technology to improve their operations and meet the Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) reporting requirements.

As ESRI Canada's Public Works Industry Manager, Karen brings an impressive 24 years of work experience with GIS and public works. She has extensive experience in the IT, geomatics, and municipal fields. Karen is active in the GIS and public works industry including serving as Past President of URISA BC, Chair of the GIS Advisory Committee at BCIT, and Chair of URISA International's Chapter Relations Committee.
