Description
Saskatchewan Environment's Environmental Protection Branch (EPB) commissioned an assessment of all former mine sites and reclamation areas near Uranium City, Saskatchewan.  The area boundaries were digitized and used with existing data to produce The Abandoned Mines and Reclamation Areas Near Uranium City poster map. EPB's Industrial, Uranium, and Hardrock Unit in Prince Albert needed a way to inform others of the existing mine sites and reclamation areas. Any new mining development in these areas requires review by the Unit prior to issuance of any permits.
