Oak Hammock Marsh Watershed Legacy Project

The Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre (a joint project of Ducks Unlimited Canada and Manitoba Conservation) has recently piloted a Watershed Legacy Project using ESRI's ArcIMS (Internet Map Server) technology to expand their conservation outreach. This unique project is currently offered to Grade 10 - 12 students and is an opportunity to work with GIS and GPS technologies on a watershed-based project.

The project gives students an opportunity to appreciate how their community fits in with the natural watershed. Additionally, students gain this understanding while developing skills in GPS and internet-based GIS applications.
