Volcanoes of the World

Volcanoes act as an important force in shaping the landscape and creating new landforms. This exercise is designed to be an introduction to volcanism and focuses on the location, processes, and effects of volcanoes in different regions of the world. Students will analyze a specific volcano as part of a case study research project.

ArcView 9.2 Users

All data used in ArcView 9.2 must be projected. There are two ArcCanada datasets (volcano.shp and plat_lin.shp) needed for this lesson which are not projected. Click the .exe file or winzip file to download the projected versions of the datasets.
