French Language in Canada

Canada has two official languages: English and French. The majority of the French speaking population lives in Quebec; however, Francophones live all over the country.

Through this exercise, students will explore the patterns of French and English language distribution in Canada. Through this exploration, the students will learn about different types of data classification methods.

The French Language Lesson Pack is divided into three sections:

Teachers are encouraged to distribute this background information to their students. The background information discusses the various classification methods in detail.
  • The Teacher's Guide
The files that are used, the expectations for the lesson pack, and notes.
  • The Instructions
    Instructions for the student.
