Creating Outline and Thematic MapsIntroduction This lesson has two parts to it. The first section details the steps necessary to create an outline map. In the process you learn how to project your data, change the map units and generate a basic layout. The second section shows you how to create thematic maps. Using the cntry00 shapefile in ArcCanada 3.x you will select various demograhic data to compare countries. This section also outlines how to create a layout with multiple views.
