Description
This map represents the tenure of the Township of Rouyn.
It distinguishes the state-owned properties of Quebec (public tenure) from the private land (private tenure). This map was created from the new Registre du domaine de l'État.

In addition to tenure, the purpose of this register is to record all rights granted by the Government, the restrictions related to land, land surveying that are officialised, as well as offer a comprehensive view.

By implementing the RDE, the department aims to:

• Support a coherent governmental management of the use of public land and its resources.
• Encourage the development and the dissemination of the land information and facilitate access to it.
• Contribute to the improvement of governmental efficiency by reducing efforts in the various ministries and organizations to obtain the land knowledge needed to fulfil their respective mandates.
