Description
Protection and restoration of natural areas is a priority for the MNR.  Digital ortho photography in combination with soils mapping and MNR resource data is being used to map and analyze the condition of sub-watersheds. 

Results of the analysis are used to support work program planning.  Information is shared with community agencies and partners and landowners are contacted to undertake natural heritage protection and restoration projects.
