- Geography Network
The Geography Network Canada is an online resource for finding and sharing geographic content, including maps and data, from many of Canada's leading providers.
- GeoGratis
GeoGratis is a free website, initiated by the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, that distributes geospatial data of Canada.
- Geobase
GeoBase is a federal, provincial and territorial government initiative that is overseen by the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). It is undertaken to ensure the provision of, and access to, a common, up-to-date and maintained base of quality geospatial data for all of Canada. Through the GeoBase portal, users with an interest in the field of geomatics have access to quality geospatial information at no cost and with unrestricted use.
- Statistics Canada
Statistics Canada is a major source of Canadian data. At their web site, they have posted data from the 1996 Census, as well as data regarding the Land, the People, the Economy, and the State.
- Canadian National Seismograph Network (download earthquake data)
The Canadian National Seismograph Network contains information on all earthquakes that occur in Canada, large and small. Most importantly, it contains the National Earthquake Database. Using your web browser, you can query this database, and bring the resulting data into ArcView.
- Global Forest Watch Canada
Formed to provide access to better information about development activities in Canada's forests and their environmental impact. We are convinced that better information about Canada's forests will lead to better decision making about forest management and use, which ultimately will result in forest management regimes that provide a full range of benefits for both present and future generations.
- Ontario Base Map Data Available on the Geography Network Canada
ESRI Canada is pleased to announce the availability of Ontario Base Map (OBM) data on the Geography Network Canada. You can view the data online, or downloaded it in any number of formats for use in many GIS software programs. Cartographic layers include wetlands and wooded areas, parks, building footprints, water, lots and concessions, spot heights, and many more.

The United Nations Statistics Division provides a wide range of statistical outputs and services for producers and users of statistics worldwide. On this site you will find statistics for a wide variety of social indicators, from water supply to housing to unemployment, for countries around the world. Global population data is also directly available.
