• Geography Network
  The Geography Network Canada is an online resource for finding and sharing geographic content, including maps and data, from many of Canada's leading providers.

• GeoGratis
  GeoGratis is a free website, initiated by the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing, that distributes geospatial data of Canada.

• The Canadian Soil Information System (CanSIS)
  CanSIS provided ESRI with their Soil Landscape GIS Database, as well as their Land Potential Database, both of which are incorporated into the ArcCanada package.

• Geobase
  GeoBase is a federal, provincial and territorial government initiative that is overseen by the Canadian Council on Geomatics (CCOG). It is undertaken to ensure the provision of, and access to, a common, up-to-date and maintained base of quality geospatial data for all of Canada. Through the GeoBase portal, users with an interest in the field of geomatics have access to quality geospatial information at no cost and with unrestricted use.

• Statistics Canada
  Statistics Canada is a major source of Canadian data. At their web site, they have posted data from the 1996 Census, as well as data regarding the Land, the People, the Economy, and the State.

• Canadian National Seismograph Network (download earthquake data)
  The Canadian National Seismograph Network contains information on all earthquakes that occur in Canada, large and small. Most importantly, it contains the National Earthquake Database. Using your web browser, you can query this database, and bring the resulting data into ArcView.

• Global Forest Watch Canada
  Formed to provide access to better information about development activities in Canada's forests and their environmental impact. We are convinced that better information about Canada's forests will lead to better decision making about forest management and use, which ultimately will result in forest management regimes that provide a full range of benefits for both present and future generations.

• Ontario Base Map Data Available on the Geography Network Canada
  ESRI Canada is pleased to announce the availability of Ontario Base Map (OBM) data on the Geography Network Canada. You can view the data online, or downloaded it in any number of formats for use in many GIS software programs. Cartographic layers include wetlands and wooded areas, parks, building footprints, water, lots and concessions, spot heights, and many more.

• Cadastral Information for First Nations in Canada
  The Canada Centre for Cadastral Management is engaged in developing and maintaining a reliable modern property rights infrastructure on Canada Lands, including Canada's offshore. An effective property rights infrastructure facilitates sound decision-making for sustainable development and prosperity for Canadians.

• Canada's website National Climate Data and Information Archive
  The National Climate Data and Information Archive, operated and maintained by Environment Canada, contains official climate and weather observations for Canada.

• GeoConnections, Discovery Portal
  The GeoConnections Discovery Portal is your gateway to millions of geospatial data products. Browse metadata records or search by subject, coverage or product type to find, evaluate, visualize and access the geospatial data you need.

• United Nations Statistics Division
  The United Nations Statistics Division provides a wide range of statistical outputs and services for producers and users of statistics worldwide. On this site you will find statistics for a wide variety of social indicators, from water supply to housing to unemployment, for countries around the world. Global population data is also directly available.

• University of Maryland, Global Land Cover Facility (GLCF)
  The GLCF is a center for land cover science with a focus on research using remotely sensed satellite data and products to assess land cover change for local to global systems.

• NASA Applied Sciences Directorate, John C. Stennis Space Center
  Landstat data available in mrsid format, a common compressed images.
