Bilingual Technical Support Analyst (HO21-08)

ESRI Canada Limited has an immediate need for a Technical Support Analyst.  The position is based out of the Quebec Regional Office in Montreal.

The Technical Support Analyst's challenges include performing top quality service for ESRI Canada's client base by providing technical support for the ESRI product suite in a hands-on, team environment. Responsibilities also include providing a full range of software support services, in conjunction with other technical support team members.

Technical Support Analyst duties include:

  • Providing knowledgeable technical expertise and support to clients in a tactful manner demonstrating a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Effectively communicating with clients using a variety of means including telephone, fax, e-mail, etc.
  • Troubleshooting problems on behalf of clients.
  • Working collaboratively with other support analysts to ensure that client needs are being met.
  • Identification of any issues with ESRI's software and providing clients with possible workarounds.
  • Maintaining the Technical Support tracking system by preparing accurate and detailed summaries of each technical support request.

Specific requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years experience using ESRI software products
  • University degree in Geography, GIS or a related discipline
  • Bilingual (French /English) - Verbal and Written
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Applied working knowledge of ArcSDE and DBMS's (Oracle and/or SQL Server, etc.)
  • Applied working knowledge of ArcIMS and internet technologies (IIS, Apache, HTML, Java, etc.)

    • Working knowledge of systems integration
    • Programming (Visual Basic, VS.Net)
