Description
This was a joint project between the Geomatics Office of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation's Highway Standards Branch and the Provincial Geomatics Service Centre of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. The pilot project evaluated data, GIS tools, methodology, and staff resources required to update MTO datasets and create an automated, database driven version of the Ontario Road Map in ArcGIS 9.2. The proposed methodology will significantly improve data maintenance and map production of this highly recognized, biannual, provincial map. The map displays an initial draft of the full implementation project.
