Le Groupe SYGIF inc. est une entreprise jeune et dynamique qui ouvre dans les technologies de l'information plus précisément dans le domaine de la géomatique depuis 1996.

Sa mission est orientée vers le développement d'application et les services en géomatique. La force de l'entreprise se retrouve au sein de ses ressources humaines qui se compose d'une équipe multidisciplinaire à la fine pointe de la technologie.

Les activités de l'entreprise couvrent actuellement les secteurs suivants :

• Le secteur forestier avec un service-conseils d'ingénieurs forestiers ainsi que nos produits SygifPTS pour la forêt privée et Sygif-CAAF pour la forêt publique. Également, nous offrons une gamme d'utilitaires pour les logiciels ArcView 3.3md et ArcGIS 8.2 md ;
• Le secteur maritime avec un volet de développement d'application dans la gestion des pêches marines et la gestion de bases de données à référence spatiale ;
• Le secteur municipal (incluant les communautés autochtones et les MRC), avec le développement d'applications personnalisées ;
• Le secteur touristique avec un volet service sur la conception et la production de cartes dans plusieurs formats (incluant aussi des panneaux de signalisation routière et d'identification de pourvoiries ou zones de villégiatures, etc.).

COMPANY PROFILE
The Groupe SYGIF inc. is the offspring of the Forestry Information Management System experiment which was conducted under the Forestry Canada's Eastern Quebec Forestry Program. Implemented in 1989 and set up for private forestland management, this was the first such system throughout Quebec to resort to GIS technologies.

At the end of the program for which this system was conceived, March 31 1996, the Groupe SYGIF inc. was established with the help of the human resources already involved, to adapt and develop GIS applications based on this experiment and intended for managing forest resources while maintaining our efforts in the development of related information systems and services.

We offer system in system integration , consultancy at various levels, and GPS services. We have several specialists in area of forest engineering, biology, GIS programming, analysis and system architecture.

The Groupe SYGIF is composed of team of seventeen professionals and specialists proficient in GIS, computer sciences, forestry, and biology. Their competence and work experience have been recognized particularly in system analysis and development, data processing, as well as in all phases of system implementation. The wide range of activities cover forest management, landuse management, wildlife and recreational tourism activities management, and more, all aiming at sustainable development of our natural resources.
