The GeoGraphic Information Services (GGIS) of Golder Associates Ltd. has a dedicated group of 34 full-time employees that provides consulting and general services involving Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing and Computer Assisted Drafting/Design (CAD).

Golder Associates uses proven, industry-standard software tools, selected for their reliability, high quality and compatibility with other software. Depending on client requirements, project work can involve one or more of such software packages as:

• GIS (ARC/INFO, PAMAP, and Microstation)
• Desktop mapping (ArcView with Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst)
• Web GIS (ArcIMS)
• Spatial data warehousing (ArcSDE)
• Image analysis (PCI EASI/PACE)
• Drafting and design (AutoCAD)
• Database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL Server and Access)
• Various application development/programming environments within GIS - Avenue, AML,
• ArcObjects - and with industry standard languages - VB/VBA, Java
• Web development environments - XML, HTML and ASP.

At the recent ESRI Business Partners conference in February, Golder Associates Ltd. was awarded the New Partner of the Year for 2002.
