Toronto, ON - ESRI Canada Limited, the leading geographic information system (GIS) software provider in Canada, is increasing its presence in Northern Ontario with the opening of a new Sudbury office. We are also pleased to announce that Shawn Croisier has joined the company as the Account Manager for Northern Ontario. Shawn brings a strong GIS/IT background having worked in the public and private sectors for the past 9 years. After graduating from Sir Sanford Fleming College, Shawn worked for an ESRI Canada Limited Business Partner in the municipal emergency services sector where he built and grew a successful services business for them. Intrigued with municipal government, Shawn then joined the City of Kingston and coordinated an award winning enterprise GIS implementation. This large initiative was as a result of the City's Strategic Technology Study which provided a 5 year plan to guide the City's GIS technology investment, technical infrastructure, organization requirements and return on investment. Shawn was instrumental in managing the study and securing $600,000 of funding from the Province and private sector partners.

Shawn, who was born and raised in Northern Ontario, said he looks forward to returning home early next year to service ESRI Canada Limited's Northern Ontario clients from the Sudbury Office. Until then, Shawn will be based out of the Toronto Office.
