Integrated Asset and Work Management System in an Electric Distribution Company

Toronto,ON - ESRI Canada is pleased to announce the implementation of an integrated Asset and Work Management System for Wirebury Connections Inc. that combines a Work Management System (WMS) with their geographic information system (GIS). The integrated system is hosted by ESRI Canada and is based on Cityworks and ArcFM which both leverage core ESRI ArcGIS technology.

Wirebury operates in the multi-unit residential and multi-tenant commercial markets providing electrical utility and "SMART" (meters capable of tracking electricity use) meter services including the building, operating, and maintaining of electrical distribution and "SMART" meter networks and also distributing and billing customers for the delivery of the energy. Wirebury through its business partnerships with numerous services providers such as ESRI utilizes the Asset and Work Management system to manage its distribution and "SMART" meter assets to ensure reliable delivery of electricity to its customers.

Wirebury is using ArcGIS software with the Cityworks and ArcFM extensions. The Cityworks application is central to the workflow related to all work activities associated with the asset information stored in the GIS. The implementation which included the over an 18 month period.
