• City of Calgary reaches new heights with ESRI enterprise solution (4.6MB)
  The City of Calgary boasts the second highest number of head offices located within a city, together with over 9,000 new housing starts and 15,056 building permits totalling $2 billion issued in 1999. The concept of a unified city with a population approaching one million, above average technical knowledge and significant growth contributed to the City of Calgary's move to reassess the value of GIS in making business decisions.

  La société Domtar inc., producteur de papiers de spécialité, de papiers fins et de produits forestiers, a été l'une des premières compagnies forestières à utiliser le réseau 7Internet pour la promotion de ses produits et de l'entreprise. C'est dans ce contexte qu'à l'automne 2000, l'entreprise a lancé un concept unique au Canada. En effet, grâce à la technologie ArcIMS de la compagnie ESRI, la division des Ressources forestières de Domtar a mis en place les outils nécessaires à la consultation rapide et efficace des plans d'aménagement forestier quinquennaux et annuels sur Internet.
  
  
• Domtar implements Web-based geomatic forestry solution (310KB)
  Domtar Inc., a producer of specialty papers, fine papers, and wood products was one of the first forest companies to use the Internet to promote its products and business through e-paper. In the fall of 2000, the Forest Resources Division launched a unique Canadian concept. Domtar implemented a Web-based program for consultation of their forest management plans with the use of ESRI's ArcIMS technology.
