Inside Sales Representative (VA02-08)
The Pacific Region of ESRI Canada Limited has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative, responsible for developing business rapport and ensuring positive relationships with ESRI Canada clients over the phone. This position will work closely with the Regional Manager and Account Team to support business development and account management.
This position is based out of the Pacific Region office in Vancouver and reports directly to the Regional Manager.
Inside Sales Representative responsibilities include:
- Effectively communicating ESRI product information and providing product recommendations most suitable to client requirements.
- Responding to telephone inquiries and email requests related to product capabilities, pricing, maintenance, and customer care.
- Managing incoming fax, mail and email communications for Inside Sales purposes.
- Obtaining information necessary to reach a decision about appropriate action and implementing prompt responses to inquiries, product availability, and sales policies to clients.
- Qualifying leads and opportunities, providing follow-up to the client and/or appropriate Account Manager.
- Working cohesively with order processing and office administration, ensuring that client needs are met; resolving any issues arising from order processing errors or other sources of client concern.
- Supporting the Office Coordinator to assist customers with their maintenance renewals.
- Conducting outbound sales calls to develop, up-sell, service and/or create new business opportunities.
- Monitor various sources for published RFP, RFI, EOI, etc. and routing them to the appropriate personnel within the region for further review and discussion.
Specific skill requirements:
- Community College diploma or University degree in Geography or GIS.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Sales and / or GIS.
- Computer skills:
- knowledge of ESRI GIS products
- familiar with entire suite of MS office
- familiar with Internet and using / navigating web-sites
- ability to build and utilize queries against a customer database

- Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
