Account Manager (M002-08)
ESRI Canada Limited has an immediate opportunity for an Account Manager in its Montréal office. This position will work closely with the Regional Manager, Québec in developing creative sales strategies for this area of the Region.
You will develop major accounts with the aim of proposing to relevant clients business solutions based on ESRI technologies. You will understand your clients business needs and you will develop solutions that will demonstrate measurable business benefits. You will demonstrate leadership in the development of the technological solutions to ensure they will fulfill the business objectives.
You will interact with multiple organizational levels including executives, operations and IT.
This position reports directly to the Regional Manager.

Account Manager responsibilities include:
- Liaise with client organizations and understand their needs and business processes. Develop a vision on how geographic information and ESRI technology can help them improve their business and communicate that vision through presentation and proposals to materialize these benefits within client organizations;
- Position current ESRI technologies and future ESRI development plans within planned and existing projects;
- Develop and write both unsolicited proposals and proposals in response to RFPs;
- Deliver presentations outlining enterprise solutions at both the general and detailed levels;
- Manage and coordinate the sales activities for the major accounts on an ongoing basis continually seeking to provide excellent service and/or create new business opportunities (new business development).
- Collaboratively work with ESRI Canada employees from the Québec Region and our corporate offices in Toronto in preparation for trade shows, user conferences, and client presentations/seminars.
- Provide a high degree of consultative sales service for all accounts and business partners by continuously following-up and monitoring customer needs and products.
- Develop and maintain ongoing account analysis and account management/penetration strategies for individual accounts.
- Develop prospects and represent ESRI Canada Limited through tactful administration of public relations and excellence in the execution of presentations, sales meetings, trade shows and follow-up meetings.
Requirements:
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in GIS, IT, Engineering, Management or a related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in GIS, IT, System Design, System Architecture or Business Analysis
- Minimum 3 years experience working in selling
- Sound understanding of GIS solutions.
- Comfortable advising and selling to senior officials
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture
- Excellent written and oral French
- Excellent knowledge of English
