Bilingual Developer Support Consultant (HO04-08)

ESRI Canada Limited has an immediate need for a Bilingual Developer Support Consultant. The position is based out of our Regional office in Montréal.

The Bilingual Developer Support Consultant's challenges include performing top quality service for ESRI Canada's client base by providing development support for the ESRI product suite in a hands-on, team environment. Responsibilities also include providing a range of software support services, in conjunction with other technical support team members.

• Providing knowledgeable technical expertise and support to clients in a tactful manner demonstrating a sense of urgency and professionalism.
• Working collaboratively with the other technical analysts to ensure that client needs are being met.
• Troubleshooting problems on behalf of clients.
• Identification of issues in ESRI's software developer tools and providing clients with possible workarounds.
• Maintaining the Technical Support tracking system by preparing accurate and detailed summaries of each technical support request. 
• Effectively communicating with clients using a variety of means including telephone, fax, e-mail etc.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years experience using ESRI software products
• Minimum of 2 years experience using ESRI developer tools including ArcObjects, MapObjects, ArcPad Studio\
• Applied working knowledge of one or more of the following development environments: Visual Studio.Net (VB or C#), VB6, Java, C, C++, SQL
• University degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science or a related discipline
• Strong analytical / problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS and ArcSDE
• Bilingual (English / French) - Written and verbal
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Considered as assets for this position are the following:

• Computer skills : 
  • RDBMS's (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS ActiveX and Java Connectors
  • ArcSDE C-API or Java API
  • Familiarity with Internet technologies, Cold Fusion, and ASP
